New Pastoral Assistant

We are delighted to introduce our new pastoral assistant Lynsey Graham and wish her every blessing as she takes up her new role in January 2022 at Inverkip Church linked with Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church. For those who don’t yet know Lynsey, here is a little introduction:

“My name is Lynsey and I am an Elder, Worship Leader and member of the Pastoral Care team for my home church and a Mission Rep on the Lower Clyde Local Area Mission Group.
I was christened in the Mid Kirk in Greenock before moving to Port Glasgow St Andrews at the age of 3. I am now part of the recently formed Port Glasgow New Parish church.
I have been a Physiotherapist for over 17 years and in that time I have specialised 3 times in Community Rehabilitation, Palliative Care and my current role in Long Term Condition Management, part time.
I have been so blessed over the years to have met a lot of you already as my Mum, my Auntie and my Uncle are Elders at Inverkip Church and I helped my other half Chris with the Café Church at the Wemyss Bay Station when he was the previous Pastoral Assistant.
In the summer of 2021 I prayed that very short, yet very powerful, prayer: “Use Me” while trying to discern what the next step was in my journey with God. This appointment is the answer to that prayer and I know that the Lord will show us the way forward as time goes on.
Thank you for trusting me to be your Pastoral Assistant. It is an honour to be sharing life’s highs and lows with you. I am so looking forward to getting to know you and your families and helping you navigate this period of vacancy against the backdrop of changes going on in the wider Church.”
