We are delighted to welcome our new minister, Rev Corné Randall, who conducted his first service on Sunday, 2 February 2025. His Induction service on Thursday, 30 January 2025 in Skelmorlie & Wemyss Bay Church was officiated by Rev. Christine Goldie, Rev. Gordon Armstrong and Rev. Robbie Hamilton of Presbytery of Clyde.

At the end of the service the congregation welcomed Corné, his wife Zanné and son Evan with some gifts, and a wonderful surprise video was played which had been recorded by their family and friends in South Africa and New Zealand.

A huge Thank You was offered to Rev Karen Harbison for all of her help and support as Interim Moderator during our vacancy.

Hello everyone.

My name is Karen Harbison and I was appointed Interim Moderator at Inverkip and Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church on 1st September 2022.

I’m very much enjoying getting to know you all and worshipping and serving with you in your congregations and communities.

In my professional life, I’m currently the Minister of Westburn Parish Church and have lived in Greenock since January 2014. Before that I was minister in Trinity Church in Hamilton.

I’m delighted that worship is being led by a team of worship leaders and that you have Lynsey as your Pastoral Assistant.

I’m sure that the presence and work of these people along with your Elders will be a great help as we go through these challenging times in the Church of Scotland.
