Reverend Corné Randall

My life story began on the 17th of July 1986 in Bloemfontein, the capital city of the Free State Province in South Africa. I planned to study medicine, but during my final year of school, everything changed. While I attended a youth camp, I felt a strong calling to ministry, prompted by Ezekiel 37—the vision of the valley of dry bones.

After a process of discernment, I started studying Theology at the University of the Free State, where I completed my Baccalaureus Theologiae (2009) and Magister Divinitatis (2011). I was ordained as a minister of the Dutch Reformed Church in 2011, marking the beginning of my life in full-time ministry. My first charge was in Louis Trichardt in the Limpopo province (near Zimbabwe) where I was the youth minister from 2012 to 2015. During this time, I completed my Baccalaureus Artium Honores in Greek.

From 2015 to 2021, I was the co-reverend at the Dutch Reformed Church Overkruin in Pretoria. Throughout my ministry I had a passion for and interest in pastoral care and completed my Bachelor of Arts (Health Science and Social Services) in psychological counseling and Magistra Theologiae (Clinical Pastoral Care) during this chapter of my life.

After a period of prayer and discernment, during which Ezekiel 37 once again played a significant role, I felt called to explore ministry in the Church of Scotland. After a successful Admissions Conference, I began my familiarisation placement at Mannofield Parish Church on 1 September 2021.

In 2025 I was inducted as minister of Inverkip, Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church. I thoroughly enjoy parish ministry in this beautiful part of Scotland! As a parish minister, it is a great honor to share the journey of life and faith with people. We as a church aim to be a place where you can experience God’s love and care, and we are excited to be part of the incredible story God is writing through His church and His people.

Why don’t you pop in one Sunday and share worship with us? It will be lovely to meet you!
