The Connect churches will be holding a ‘Big Sing’ Event on the evening of Sunday 16th October at 7pm in St. John’s Parish Church, Gourock. This will be a fun musical event, open to all and especially suitable for those who love music and singing. We will learn and sing as many short songs as possible from the Iona Community & World Church, and also a few from Taize. Emphasis will be on singing unaccompanied and in parts where possible. It will finish with a short act of worship, and tea, coffee will be served afterwards. The music will be led by the Connect Singing Group, but there will be maximum participation from the congregation. No great singing experience or music reading ability is necessary – just lots of enthusiasm.
