Vision Ministries – February 2026

Some thoughts from Barbara Edmonson at Vision Ministries for whom we are filling Smartie tubes with 20p’s to help bring clean water to the people living in the slums of Kibera, Nairobi.

“Two scriptures have directed me throughout my years as a Christian – Proverbs 3:5-6 and Matthew 6:33

They have been lifelines many times, both personally and for Vision Ministries.
I can tell you experientially – that I have absolutely no concern for the provision for VM – as we have followed His direction He has always provided for EVERYTHING we have been called to do and in every circumstance that we have faced, often before we ask Him.

On the other hand – it has me a little longer to have that same conviction in my personal life – why I ask myself ?????
God loves us. But does it resonate with us HOW MUCH God loves us?
Personally, I think it is something we do not nor cannot fully grasp.
We know God is love, His outworking is to love – it’s His MO.
Loving us cannot be easy street for Him – us with all our flaws and uncertainties – with all our doubt and fears – with all our running off at tangents.
But God’s love is full of grace and mercy towards His children – towards you and I.

Our response to His love should be to love Him back, put our faith and trust in Him wholeheartedly – a bold move in today’s scary world.

Knowing that there is Someone whose views, ways and love never change, never fluctuates, is never in one day and out the next.

Someone who is never away from home when we call –
There is never a ‘do not disturb’ notice on the throne room, we have an assurance that we can always draw near in our time of need – whatever that need may be.

God made the way to Himself through Jesus.
No other person or way guarantee’s our success like God.

We have no problem putting our trust daily in many things without even thinking.
Like the chair we sit on – how many of us examined them before we sit down?
How many of us get on a bus / plane / train and trust the driver /pilot to get us to the destination we desire?
We have a God who will never leave or forsake us a God who is all powerful, loving and practical, who can be trusted 100%.
Free, undeserved love and grace, His outstretched hand to humanity.

So, February, let’s bring it on, let us allow our faith to grow, trusting in The One who is ever faithful.”
